ABOUT THIS CONCERT
The three percussionists of Ensemble Motion kick off this year's Musikwoche with a dynamic and creative program. Their compositions, played on instruments from around the world, explore the relationship between rhythm and sound in the most captivating way. Martin Piechotta, MCO timpanist since 2007, is joined on stage by well-known percussionists Mathias Lachenmayr and Daan Wilms whose compositions will be on the program.
Our very own concert lab – that's what we somtimes like to call the “Musikwoche Hitzacker", the renowned festival whose artistic directorship the MCO took over in 2024. Now in our second year, we have once again prepared ten exciting days of concerts and events, combining the familiar with the unfamiliar, and focusing on musical dialogue and new insights. We look forward to having you join us on this journey of discovery!
