ABOUT THIS CONCERT
The Mahler Chamber Orchestra is curating a school festival in Berlin for the first time, centered around the theme of "Heimat". School classes from Berlin and the surrounding area have been invited to actively participate in and contribute to this inaugural festival.
The festival, titled Welcome Home! A Festival about finding the place where you belong, has been designed for students aged 13 to 19 years. Through concerts, an art exhibition, readings, and various workshops, the students will delve into what home and belonging mean to themselves and others. In addition to inspiring young people to engage with music, the festival aims to promote mutual understanding and strengthen appreciation and respect for diversity in society.
Participation is free of charge, but prior registation is madatory.
