ABOUT THIS CONCERT
»I am always driven by the search for meaning« – that’s the motto of the radically innovative violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja, who regularly explores pressing contemporary issues in her work. She engages with this year’s Music Festival theme of »nature« with startling thoughts on the topic of climate change – and that not only in her project »Les Adieux«, but also in a discussion concert in the Laeiszhalle Recital Hall. Kopatchinskaja is joined for that discussion by the Potsdam-based sustainability expert Manuel Rivera and members of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. In between performances of moving chamber music, they will be discussing climate change and what the world of culture can do.
