BIOGRAPHY
Despite growing up in a non-musical family, Annabell discovered her love for music at an early age, singing in children's choirs and learning the flute and piano at the age of 9.
While
studying Music and English at the University of the Arts Berlin, she realized
that teaching was not the path she wanted to follow and quickly transitioned
into the field of organizing and managing cultural events.
She worked
for organizations such as Freie Volksbühne Berlin, the University of the Arts
Berlin, and the Rundfunkchor Berlin, and is also one of the founding members of
Neuer Kammerchor Berlin.
At
Rundfunkchor Berlin, she was responsible for developing and implementing new
and innovative concert, outreach, and media formats, building new connections
with various artistic partners, and strengthening existing ones. Additionally,
she managed ongoing productions as a project manager. Most recently, she was
responsible for creating the program for the choir's 100th-anniversary season,
together with chief conductor Gijs Leenaars, and also developed outreach and
media formats for this special occasion.
After
several years in the world of choral music, Annabell is very happy to be
joining the MCO’s Artistic Planning department, taking the next step in her
professional career.
