LIISA KETOMÄKI APPOINTED CEO OF THE MAHLER CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

The Mahler Chamber Orchestra (MCO) is delighted to announce the appointment of Liisa Ketomäki as their new CEO from January 2025 onwards. She will take over the role from Michael Adick who is stepping down to seek new professional horizons after ten years as Managing Director. During his tenure, the MCO has established itself as one of the leading orchestras worldwide: “I am very excited to see the future of this jewel of an orchestra in Liisa Ketomäki’s capable hands!” (Michael Adick).

Liisa Ketomäki has spent her entire career in the field of classical music, most recently as CEO of the Turku Music Festival. Before she has worked as an artist agent at Harrison Parrott, Concerts de Valmalète and OIA Brentano. She completed her Master of Arts in arts administration at the Institut d’Études de Paris and her Master of Sciences in political science at the University of Helsinki. She is also a Doctoral researcher at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku and a trained pianist. She speaks fluent French, English, German, Swedish and Finnish.” I am honored and excited to take on the position of CEO of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
