ABOUT THIS CONCERT
In this special concert, members of the MCO, composer/conductor George Benjamin, and presenter Christina Scheppelmann combine chamber music and discussion to provide insight into the life and works of George Benjamin.
Amongst the pieces featured here, is Viola, Viola, which has been travelling with the MCO since violists Béatrice Muthelet and Anna Puig Torné first performed it in Aix-en-Provence in 2012. Since the great success of their initial performance, Béatrice and Anna have brought Viola, Viola to many other cities, including New York, Berlin, Barcelona and Reykjavik.
