ABOUT THIS CONCERT
In a fascinating evening of music, discussion, and performance, presenter Marie Luise Maintz, members of the MCO and George Benjamin himself provide insight into the composer/conductor’s works and life.
The final piece of the evening, Viola, Viola, has been travelling with the MCO since 2012, when violists Béatrice Muthelet and Anna Puig Torné first performed it in Aix-en-Provence. Since the great success of this initial performance, Béatrice and Anna have brought Viola, Viola to many other cities, including New York, Berlin, Barcelona and Reykjavik.
