INTERVIEW
What do you need to feel at home whilst on tour?
A sturdy pair of walking shoes, I like discovering new places on foot.
The first piece of music you fell in love with:
The Brahms Requiem. We performed it in my first year in the conservatory and the piece just keeps circling back into my life.
What makes a “perfect” concert?
A perfect concert is a concert where imperfection is welcomed. To me, this means the power of the moment takes over and a wrong note, awkward sound or slipped finger only contributes to the uniqueness and emotion of that exact moment. This is why we still seek the magic of live music.
