What do you like most about the MCO? The international set up, the passion of all involved parties (musicians and staff) to reach something extraordinary together, and the ability to question anything routine.
What do you find inspiring about your job? The complexity and variety of the topics that I have to deal with.
What aspect of your work do you enjoy the most? Freedom and responsibility. The great atmosphere in the office.
The first piece of music you fell in love with: Schubert’s Unfinished.

BIOGRAPHY
Michael Adick, who studied law, history of art and theatre studies in Tubingen and Munich, started his professional career as a lawyer. He has been with the MCO since 1999, and has been responsible for the orchestra’s legal, administrative and financial matters from the beginning, including involvement in structural and strategic matters and intensive work on cultural policy. After many years as the orchestra’s Director of Finance and Administration and a successful close collaboration with the orchestra and its board, he was named Managing Director in 2015.
